Me-dia Movie Reviews
In this review, I compare Last Breath (2019) and Last Breath (2025), looking at how the true-life survival story translates from documentary to dramatised feature film. I break down what the remake adds and whether the newer version justifies its existence when the original documentary was already so effective.

I discuss the intense real-world stakes, the emotional impact of knowing this actually happened, and how both films handle tension, realism, and character including the human cost felt by those waiting at home. It’s a fascinating comparison between raw documentary storytelling and polished Hollywood adaptation.

Is the Remake Necessary? | Last Breath (2019 & 2025) Movie Review
I was never bored but I was never scared either. By the end, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple left me with one big question: is this franchise still about zombies… or about us?

Is the ‘28’ Franchise Still About Zombies? #shorts
The barn scene is brutal, grotesque, and uncomfortably tense, the kind of moment that briefly brings back the visceral fear that defined 28 Days Later. It’s easily the most effective sequence in the film.

The One Scene That Actually Felt Like 28 Days Later #shorts
One major improvement over the previous film is structure. By splitting the story between two distinct groups, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple feels more focused, more confident and far more engaging than what came before.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Fixes a Big Problem #shorts
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple takes an unusual approach.

It’s a zombie movie that almost forgets it’s a zombie movie. That creative choice shapes the tone, the tension, and how the story unfolds.

A Zombie Movie That Almost Forgets It’s a Zombie Movie #shorts
Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple returns to the infected world with a more confident sense of ideas and atmosphere but one that may frustrate fans craving more outright infected violence.

In this review, I talk about how The Bone Temple improves on the previous instalment in its ambition and themes, while still holding back when it comes to intensity. I also highlight the film’s strongest elements, including great character work from Jack O’Connell and Ralph Fiennes, and explore whether this sequel leans too far into ideas over horror.

Is this the direction the 28 franchise should be heading… or does it need to go harder?

Where Are the Zombies? | 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Review
This is why Planet of the Apes still stands above most franchises.

Since Rise, every film in this modern run has been strong! No weak entries dragging it down and Kingdom keeps that consistency alive.

Proximus Caesar isn’t Koba but he’s still a very strong villain.

He twists Caesar’s legacy to suit his own ambition, turning belief into control.
A cult leader hiding behind a legend.

Proximus: A Twisted Legacy #shorts
This quiet moment tells you everything about Noa.

The telescope scene shows how much of the world he doesn’t understand yet and why his journey is only just beginning.

By the end of the movie, that moment means so much more.
