Coincidentally I had a conversation earlier this week about who I think should be cast in Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ and was saying “I hope we hear some casting news soon”.

Following Ben Affleck’s departure as actor, writer and director, ‘Planet of the Apes’ Director Matt Reeves was hired to helm Batman’s stand-alone movie which is set to focus on a younger version the character.  Following the announcement of Robert Pattinson being chosen to play Batman/Bruce Wayne, fans have been eagerly waiting for further details to emerge on who will be starring alongside him.

It’s now been reported that Jeffrey Wright will be playing Batman’s trusted ally Commissioner James Gordon and Jonah Hill is currently in talks to play an unnamed Villain (although it’s pretty obvious who everyone’s first choice would be).

Due to all the uncertainty in recent years after Affleck stepped away from the role and the less-than positive feedback from Justice League and Batman V Superman, fans have been wondering if the movie would even still be made.  No plot details are known at this time however the movie is creating a lot of buzz and the announcement of Wright and Hill possibly joining will surely raise the anticipation.
