Finally, we have some details on Daniel Craig’s next and final outing as 007 following a live press conference.  It’s been a rocky road trying to get production off the ground for Bond 25 with Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle leaving the project due to creative differences, the script going through numerous re-writes and even the star Daniel Craig considering if he would return to the role but finally we have some traction with the official plot. Details such as cast and filming locations have been released and filming is currently underway in Norway.

Cary Fukunaga will be directing this time around and has hired Phoebe Waller-Bridge to work on the screenplay and we can expect to see Rami Malek playing the new villain. Ralph Fiennes, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris will be returning for bond 25 and filming locations include Norway, Italy, and the UK.

Following a press conference with the director and cast, the official plot was released online:

“Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

We are still waiting to learn what Bond 25 will be called but the details released so far should be enough to get fans excited.
