It’s been reported that David Harbour, Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz are in talks to star in the Black Widow solo movie alongside Scarlett Johansson.  Even though Marvel Studios is yet to officially announce the movie, we can expect to hear news for the next phase of the MCU following the release of Avengers: Endgame.

Though Marvel is being tight-lipped about the future, this has not stopped David Harbour giving some indication about his involvement.  Harbour is currently promoting the upcoming Hellboy reboot where he plays the titular character and during an interview with Den of Geek, Harbour had the following to say:

“I think it’s slated to start in June, I don’t think they have it fully-boarded yet but it’s a great character. I’m really excited about it. The cast is fleshing out with Scarlett and Florence Pugh, I think they said. I know they were talking about Rachel Weisz. There’s some really great actresses.”

Following the success of Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel, Studios will be hard at work to create more strong female lead movies and a solo Black Widow should be high on Marvel’s list considering fans have been asking for this movie for a long time.

Little is known about what Harbour, Pugh and Weisz roles will be, however, it would be interesting to learn how Natasha Romanoff acquired ‘red in her ledger!’
